- It's amazing to get together on the day of the festival, with the setting of the sun, the bonfire is lit with people singing and dancing to the tune of Lohri songs.

munching of seasonal goodies like popcorn, reori, peanuts and sugar cane
forms an integral part of the celebration. As an offering to the Sun
God, the giver of all life.
- Interestingly,
the next day of Lohri is known as Maghi, a day that signifies the
beginning of the month of Magh. But In North India especially popular
as Makar Sankranti and nerar about whole India celebrate this
festival with wonderful weather.

Believe that this is an auspicious day to take holy dip and give away
charity. Kheer is prepared in sugar cane juice to mark the day.

It Marking the end of the month with with the winter solstice and days are going
to be longer. In Makar Sankranti the Sun’s transit into Makara. Makar Sankranti or Maghi, is a festival day in the Hindu Calender, dedicated to the
deity Surya. It is observed each year in January.
Normally Makar Sankranti is celebrate on 14th
January on every year but this year Makar Sankranti will celebrate on 14th
and 15th January on 2020. Mainly Makar Sankranti is celebrating on 15th January, 2020 on Wednesday.
